Moxy Virginia Beach Oceanfront

3-star beachfront hotel with a lively lobby bar and on-site diner

Activities & Entertainment

The lobby at Moxy Virginia Beach Oceanfront features a two-story slide from the second floor, shuffleboard tables, pinball machines, and board games. On weekends, the hotel hosts a DJ on the patio until 11 p.m., plus Music Bingo and karaoke nights. The hotel also offers a stash closet stocked with extra towels, toiletries, and travel-size items for guests to grab without calling the front desk.

Dining & Drinks

Check-in at the Moxy Virginia Beach Oceanfront takes place at the lobby bar, where each adult receives a token for a welcome drink (Moxy Low Ball, beer, or wine). The on-site Belvedere Coffee Shop & Diner serves breakfast and lunch with local favorites like omelettes and biscuits and gravy. For dinner, a pop-up Asian-fusion food truck operates in the diner space during limited hours.

Rooms & Design

Rooms at the Moxy Virginia Beach Oceanfront use creative space utilization with peg-lined walls for hanging clothes and LED guidelights instead of traditional furniture like closets or dressers. The king and queen rooms have the sink outside the bathroom, a small safe drawer, and a shower with high pressure. Balcony options include partial ocean view or full oceanfront, with some rooms offering a hammock chair or Adirondack seating.

Wellness & Recreation

The hotel has a seasonal outdoor saltwater pool with a heated setting and a fence around it, plus pool towels for guests. The fitness center includes a boxing bag, wall balls, kettlebells, and a squat rack, which is uncommon for a 3-star property. Guests also have direct beachfront access via the boardwalk, with picnic areas and outdoor furniture on the patio.

Business & Pet-Friendly

The hotel offers a business center and "plug and meet" areas with large presentation screens for meetings. Pets are allowed with weight restrictions and a daily fee; the hotel can refrigerate pet food upon request. Valet parking is the only option at $11 per day, and the 24-hour front desk supports multiple languages and can store luggage.
